Dramatis Personae

• Jere Wade, a director, a professor, a man of the world
• Penny, his paramour
• Zak, a rougue, a scoundrel, a dog
• Alex, his son (Jere's, not Zak's), and author of this page

Parte the Firste

Scene: Dr. Wade sits in his library, having a scotch and reading a script. A picture of Penny and Zak hangs on the wall.

Parte the Second

Scene: Driven by an insatiable wanderlust, Jere begins to travel the world. To justify these cravings, he frequents the theatre houses to see what is playing. These forays into the unknown climax in a trip around the world on the Semester at Sea program, whence he visits Russia for the first time.

Parte the Third

Scene: Finally (seven years later), in an international directorial coup, Jere marches a group of amateur thespians into Moscow to perform before the adoring crowds.
